In Switzerland, as an employee you must be compulsorily insured against occupational accidents (OI) by your employer. From a working time of at least 8 hours per week, insurance against non-occupational accidents (NBU) is also mandatory, so that accidents are also covered during leisure time. The contributions for the occupational accident insurance are borne by the employer, the contributions for the non-occupational accident insurance are deducted from the employee's pay slip.
If you work less than 8 hours per week, then you are not covered for off-duty accidents.
You will see on your monthly pay stub if you have non-occupational accident insurance and what the cost is.
In the event of an accident on your own time, please check with your employer(s) to see if you have such non-occupational accident insurance. If you have more than one employer and do not have NBU with any of them, contact your health insurance company to have the accident supplemented by the health insurance company.
