Minimum wage domestic employees
As of 01.01.2023, new minimum wages for domestic workers apply with a minimum employment rate of 5 hours per week on average with the same employer:
- Unskilled employees: CHF 19.50 (previously CHF 19.20)
- Unskilled employees with at least 4 years of work experience in domestic service: CHF 21.40 (previously CHF 21.10)
- Skilled employees with EFZ in housekeeping: CHF 23.55 (previously CHF 23.20)
- Skilled employees with a completed basic professional formation of at least 2 years with reference to household activities: CHF 21.40 (previously CHF 21.10)
Minimum wage canton Geneva
As of 01.01.2023, the following minimum wage applies in the canton of Geneva:
- CHF 24.00 per hour
- CHF 4'368.00 per month for a 42-hour week
Pension fund amounts
- The pension fund entry threshold will be raised to CHF 1'837.50 per month and CHF 22'050.00 per year as of 01.01.2023
- The coordination deduction increases to CHF 25'725.00
- The upper limit of the annual salary increases to CHF 88'200.00
- The maximum coordinated salary is now CHF 62'475.00 and the minimum coordinated salary is CHF 3'675.00
Contributions to the family compensation fund
Some cantons have reduced the contributions to the family compensation fund as of 01.01.2023. quitt will make the corresponding adjustments and for you as a customer there is nothing more to do than to check the open amounts at the beginning of the year and, if necessary, adjust the standing order to your customer account.
Source taxes
As every year, the cantons will publish the new withholding tax rates by January 2023. Here, too, quitt makes the necessary adjustments.
